As you have likely heard, our District will be making the transition to the Canvas Learning Management System. You can find out more information on this transition at our LMS Transition Blog.
We will be offering sections of “Introduction to Teaching with Canvas”, utilizing @One’s course material – available only to our Coast District faculty!
This 4-week online course introduces you to the process of using the Canvas learning management system. You will learn how the system works through a series of curated readings and recall what you have learned through formative quizzes. You will also practice what you have learned through a series of hands-on exercises, focused on the subject you teach. Finally, you will reflect on the tools in Canvas through a discussion with other participants sharing this part of your professional journey.

Juli has attended a Train-the-Trainer course, given by @One, specifically focused on the facilitation of this class.
Requirements for Completion:
This class will take approximately 10 hours during each of the 4 weeks, for a total of 40 hours. Time commitment may vary based upon level of experience with web technologies. Students who obtain at least 80% achievement will pass the course, and receive a certificate of completion.
This course is pre-approved for Salary Advancement Credits through IPD.
